Dimitris
Kyriakopoulos
is a photographer

He found his passion in photography on a cold winter’s day in Cardiff, the capital of Wales, where he published his street photos at the decorated students’ magazine “Quench”. Upon returning from Great Britain he entered into a collaboration with the photo agency SOOC. In 2015 he followed the refugee routes from the island of Lesvos through the detention centers to the northern boarders of Greece in Idomeni, photographing the harsh reality of those who flee from war. This one year project was turned into his first personal exhibition. Subsequently, he managed to interview Ferzen, a Kourd news reporter and political refugee from Turkey. At 2016 his buddies and himself did not crush a 4X4 and complete a 3.500km road trip at the Arctic Cycle, which led him to his second exhibition with the title, “In the kingdom of winter.” His photos are published in various media such as, LiFO, Huffington Post, news247, naftemporiki etc.
